GRUNDY, Va. —
The high water in Buchanan County is beginning to recede, according to a spokesperson with the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office.
A handful of homes on Lynn Camp Creek Road and Jack’s Creek Road in the western end of the county were evacuated due to heavy rain Monday morning. High water was also reported in the Big Rock, Home Creek, and Rocklick areas, according to a dispatcher with the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office.
No shelter was set up for those who were evacuated due to flooding as there were only two or three homes evacuated, the spokesperson said.
