Bluewell residents ask County Commission for help in dealing with prostitutes

Bluefield Daily Telegraph

BLUEWELL — Bluewell residents asked the Mercer County Commission today for help with a prostitution problem and other issues in their community.

Skip Crane of the Bluewell Improvement Association said prostitutes operating along Route 52 try to flag down passing motorists. Crane asked for more of a police presence in Bluewell and for help with an ongoing litter problem and drainage along the highway.

County Commission President Mike Vinciguerra said the commissioners would see what could be done to address Bluewell’s problems.
