Woman sentenced to 50 years in prison for 2011 Princeton homicide

— — A Mercer County woman has been sentenced to a total of 50 years in prison for her role the March 2011 death of Princeton man.

Circuit Court Judge William Sadler sentenced  Tammy Lee Keen, 39, of Princeton, to 40 years for second-degree murder and 10 years on robbery first-degree. The sentences are to run consecutively. This gives Keen a total of 50 years.

Assistant Prosecuting Attorney George Sitler said the earliest Keen could be eligible for parole is 16.6 years.

Keen was arrested in August 2012 and charged with first-degree murder in connection with the death of 41-year-old Timothy DeWitt of Princeton. DeWitt’s body was found March 2011 off Eads Mill Road near Bluestone Falls in an area known as the gorge.
