Mercer Sheriff’s deputies searching for pickup truck in burglary

BRUSHFORK — Mercer County Sheriff’s deputies issued a BOLO (Be On the Lookout) for a dark blue or black, late 1990s model Chevy S-10 pickup truck that may have been used in the burglary of tools from a Mercer County business.

Deputy D.A Furches of the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department was called out Sunday afternoon to 20/20 Enterprises on U.S. Route 52 in Brushfork related to a complaint that tools were missing from the business. Furches said that a person or persons unknown gained access to the building through a rear door. He said a neighbor told him that a pickup truck had been in the vicinity Saturday evening. The neighbor said he chased the pickup truck off, but it returned later in the evening and was parked in the vicinity of the back door where someone gained access to the building.

Furches said the burglary is under investigation.
