Princeton man charged with 15 counts of possessing material displaying a minor in sexually explicit conduct

PRINCETON —  A Princeton man was arrested Thursday and charged with 15 counts of receiving and possessing material visually portraying a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Charles Lawrence, age unavailable, was arrested by Detective Cpl. S.A. Sommers of the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office and an investigator with the W.Va. Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Sommers said authorities seized two computers, multiple USB hard drives and 800 CDs and DVDs.

Lawrence is being held in the Bluefield City Jail and is awaiting arraignment this morning in Princeton before Magistrate Jim Dent.
