A McDowell County man has been arrested on 20 counts of possession of child pornography, police said Monday.
Troopers with the West Virginia State Police Internet Crimes Against Children unit conducted a search warrant on the residence of Brad Aliff, 33, of the Carwell Hollow area of Kimball Friday, according to Sgt. A.P. Christian of the West Virginia State Police Welch Detachment. Evidence recovered from the residence led to the arrest of Aliff on 20 counts of possession of child pornography, Christian said.
Aliff was arraigned before Magistrate Danny Mitchell, who set bond in the case at $50,000.
Christian said each count of possession of child pornography carries a maximum fine $10,000 and 10 years in prison.
