TAZEWELL, Va. —
Authorities in Virginia discontinued their search Friday following a report of a Tazewell County man who said he was shot in the shoulder by a masked male intruder who fled on foot after the alleged shooting.
A press release from the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office indicated that deputies have discontinued their search after tracking K-9s from the Bluefield, Va., police department and Virginia State Police were unable to gain a track on the alleged intruder.
The sheriff’s office stated that it will continue its investigation into the case when authorities are able to talk with the victim, Chris Shane Tibbs, who suffered a non-life threatening gunshot wound to his left shoulder.
