Bluefield and Princeton rescue squads respond to logging accident in Green Valley

GREEN VALLEY —  Emergency responders were dispatched to a business in Green Valley following a logging accident Monday.

Crews with both Bluefield Rescue Squad and the Princeton Rescue Squad were dispatched to Allegheny Wood Products on Clover Dew Dairy Road at approximately 2:35 p.m. following reports of a logging accident on the property, according to a spokesperson with Mercer County 911.

The spokesperson said a 40-year-old man had reported leg and head pain after a log rolled onto him. The man was transported to Bluefield Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries by the Bluefield Rescue Squad.
