Police seek help in locating woman missing since May

MATOAKA — The Matoaka Police Department is seeking information from the public about a local woman who was last seen in May.

Matoaka Police Chief Tom Anderson said his department is seeking tips on the whereabouts of Theresa Ford, 38, of Matoaka, who was last seen on May 16 in Hiawatha.

“We are still looking for any information on the case,” Anderson said. “We have entered her into NCIC as of June 27. The state police is working with us to collect tips.”

Anderson said Ford is five-feet, six inches tall, weighs an estimated 135 pounds and has blue eyes and red hair.

“There are no signs of foul play,” Anderson said. “It is unknown if she is in any danger at the present time. We just want any information about her whereabouts.”

Anderson said anyone with information on Ford’s whereabouts can call the Matoaka Police Department at 304-467-4311 or the West Virginia State Police Princeton Detachment at 304-425-2101.
