One injured after vehicle crashes over embankment on Interstate 77

 One person was transported to the hospital this morning after their vehicle crashed over an embankment on Interstate 77 in Mercer County

The crash occurred at mile marker 17, near the Athens area. One person was transported to Princeton Community Hospital.

The vehicle was traveling northbound on I-77, hydroplaned, left the road, went through the guardrail and over an embankment, according to Cpl. J.D. Hamilton of the West Virginia State Police Turnpike Control.
