Deputies with the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department are investigating an incident Tuesday night in which a man was hit with a truck after arguing with a customer at a local convenience store.
The alleged incident began when a customer who bought food at the Arrowhead Deli off Route 52 returned to the store because part of his order was missing, said Deputy W.E. Rose. The customer was arguing with an employee when another male subject joined in the argument.
This second customer walked outside and stood in the store’s doorway while the male subject with the complaint went to his pickup truck. He then hit the other person with his truck, knocking him into the door, Rose said. This person had some scrapes as a result.
Sgt. G.W. Woods is the investigating officer. Woods was not available for additional comment Wednesday.
