Intruders recorded roaming Bluefield State College campus identified

BLUEFIELD —  The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office in Virginia has identified two individuals suspected of stealing credit cards and other items from offices on the Bluefield State College campus.

Students and faculty were alerted after two male individuals allegedly entered offices on campus and took credit cards and a state of West Virginia purchasing card. They also visited Conley Hall and Hatter Hall.

The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office is conducting an investigation into a similar incident, Jim Nelson, a spokesperson for BSC, said. Bluefield State’s police were informed Friday by investigators in Pulaski County that the individuals had been identified as William Moore, no age available, and Matthew Beaty, no age available, both of Tennessee.

Police Chief Eddie Williams at Wytheville Community College said the individuals were seen Wednesday on the Wytheville campus before coming to Bluefield State. There were no reports of anything being stolen.
