TAZEWELL, Va. — Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office’s new app is already off to a great start just after one day.

Major Harold Heatley of the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office said, “we have already had over 400 downloads and caught our first wanted person within 24 hours.”

Virginia Faye Boyles, 37, of Bramwell, was arrested just 24 hours after the new app launched, Heatley said.

“We had six tips come in about Boyles and the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department arrested her after someone took a picture of the house she was staying in,” Heatley said.

The sheriff’s office has also had about 20 other tips about wanted people and drug distributions come in that we are currently following up on, Heatley said.

“We are encouraging everyone to download the app,” Heatley said
