A McDowell County man was arrested after two sheriff’s deputies discovered controlled substances in his possession.
Harold Neal, 38, of Kimball, was arrested after Deputy M.D. Pertee and Deputy K.N. Wright came into contact with him. Deputies found 15 individually wrapped white rocks, a substance believed to be crack cocaine, and 13 round, blue pills with the markings, V 4812, which was identified to be oxycodone, said Sheriff Martin West. All of the substances were packaged for sale.
Deputies also seized a large amount of cash. Neal was charged with two counts possession with intent to deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, West said. He was arraigned before Magistrate Steve Cox and was placed on a $50,000 bond, and was remanded back to the McDowell County Holding Unit awaiting transport to the South Western Regional Jail.
