No injuries following two vehicle wreck on Brushfork Road

BLUEFIELD — There were no injuries, but a late model Jeep Grand Cherokee was totaled in a two-vehicle wreck Friday afternoon on the Brushfork Road near Coppolo’s Mobile Home Park.

Both vehicles were traveling west on Brushfork Road when a full-sized pickup truck pulling a utility trailer was making make a left turn into a business. The sun was low on the horizon, making visibility extremely difficult. The driver of the Jeep said that he did not see the trailer until moments before making impact. The Jeep spun around in the road after impact.

Lt. J.E. Parks of the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the crash. The Bluewell Volunteer Fire Department responded for traffic control and to clear debris from the road. The Bluefield Rescue Squad also responded.
