The Air Force Jazz Band has postponed their highly anticipated performance at Bluefield College citing sequestration cuts.
A concert previously scheduled for March 18 by the jazz band has been postponed indefinitely, according to Bluefield College Director of Marketing and Public Relations Chris Shoemaker. The band said travel budget cuts imposed on the Department of Defense has forced them to postpone several shows in their Rhythm in Bluefield spring tour, including the performance at Bluefield College.
Shoemaker said nearly 250 fans had already reserved tickets for the performance at Harman Chapel. Original ticket orders will be voided and fans will have to make new reservations when another concert date is scheduled.
