Flood watch remains in effect for Tazewell, Giles, Bland and Wythe counties

BLUEFIELD — A flood watch remains in effect through Tuesday morning for parts of the region, including Tazewell, Giles, Bland and Wythe counties.

According to the National Weather Service in Blacksburg, Va., rainfall amounts during the period are expected to range around two inches. The main threat will be flooding along creeks, streams and rivers.

A flood watch means there is a potential for flooding based on current forecasts.
