Search warrant nets pills, marijuana at McDowell County residence

IAEGER — A search warrant executed this morning at a McDowell County residence net drugs and marijuana.

According to Sheriff Martin West, the McDowell County Sheriff's Office and the West Virginia State Police conducted a search warrant in the Long Pole area of McDowell County at 4 a.m.

Upon conducting the search warrant the officer's found an undisclosed amount of pills and a small amount of marijuana and an arrest was made. West said Steve Lambert, age unavailable, of Long Pole, was charged with possession with intent to distribute scheduled II controlled substance.

Lambert was arraigned before Magistrate Richard VanDyke and a bond of $25,000 was set. He was remanded back into custody of the McDowell County Holding Unit awaiting transport to the Southwestern Regional Jail.
