PRINCETON — The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department is seeking information regarding a subject involved in a hit and run accident this afternoon in the Princeton area.

Lt. Joe Parks said he responded to a call of a two-vehicle accident on Undercliffe Terrace at a little after 1 p.m.. Upon arrival, he found a 2005 Silver Honda Pilot had been struck in the passenger side.

“I spoke to the driver who stated that a green Chevy or GM long bed truck had ran a stop sign and struck his car,” Parks said. “The man driving the green truck jumped out and apologized profusely for the accident. He walked away from the Honda, saying he was going to call his mom. The driver of the green truck then told his passenger to get out, he was ‘bailing out.’ The passenger got out and the green truck drove off.”

Parks said the investigation revealed that the driver is a white male by the name of “Devan, Devon or DC.”

Parks said the vehicle is thought to be operating on the roadway illegally.

“The accused was doing electrical work on a new construction in Undercliffe Terrace,” Parks said.

Anyone who can identify the subject is asked to contact Parks at the sheriffs department at (304) 487 8364. They can remain anonymous.
