Highway officials hope to re-open one northbound lane on I-77 at the 3 mile-marker at about 3 p.m. today.
“The problem was that the contractor we have doing the clean-up after the blasting on Friday wasn’t able to finish the work before dark, so we had to close both northbound lanes this morning at 7 a.m., so the work could continue,” Tom Camden, supervisor for District 10 of the Division of Highways said.
“We will most likely have to do the same thing (on Sunday) to finish the job,” Camden added.
