— After 30 years as head coach of girls basketball at Princeton Senior High School, Debbie Ball is retiring effective at the end of the current school year.
"I've been blessed to be able to coach a sport I love," she said ."I would hope I have tried to make these young adults feel worthy ... that they all have a purpose."
She said about girls basketball at Princeton, "This program was always respected and one reason for that was the willingness of players to work towards improving their game."
In her head coaching career, the Princeton alumnus was 410-286 for a winning record of 68 percent. Five of her teams reached the state basketball tournament in Charleston, including the 2012-13 squad.
