BLUEFIELD — Several Bluefield residents awoke to the sound of gunfire early Friday morning as an unknown shooter or shooters fired shots on multiple streets.

Shots were fired at four different locations on Union Street, Rogers Street, Bluefield Avenue and Carolina Avenue. No one was outside at the time of the shootings, Lt. C.S. Myers of the Bluefield Police Department said.

Bullets struck several windows and bullet holes could be seen in the exterior walls of some homes. There were no reports of any injures.

Myers said officials have a description of the vehicle and are actively looking for it.

The case is still under investigation.
