Surveillance video images of the man who robbed City National Bank in Princeton at gunpoint have been released by the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators are hoping that someone from the public may recognize the masked man, according to Detective W.E. Rose of the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department.

“It could be his mannerism or the way people walk,” Rose said. “A small lead is any lead. It doesn’t matter.”

Rose said anyone who may recognize the man seen in the surveillance photos is asked to call the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office at 304-487-8364.

A white male wearing a dark green long-sleeve shirt with yellow letters, carrying a blue backpack and wearing a camouflaged mask entered the bank at approximately 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, displayed a semi-automatic handgun and demanded money. An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from the bank. It is located at the Wal-Mart shopping complex along Greasy Ridge Road near Princeton.
