PRINCETON – —
Two people have been arrested in connection with the June 11 armed robbery at a local video lottery parlor in Mercer County.
Candace Lester, no age available, and Jimmy Lockhart, no age available, have been arrested in the case, said Trooper W.H. File of the West Virginia State Police Princeton detachment. The investigating officer, Trooper B.R. Wood, was not available Sunday for additional comment.
The arrests were made Friday, File said.
Two men, one allegedly Lockhart and his brother, Jimmy Lockhart, entered Joyce’s on Courthouse Road near Princeton approximately 11:30 p.m. on June 11 and actually played the video lottery machines before approaching Lester, who worked at the establishment. The suspects brandished a knife, took an undetermined amount of money, and bound her with duct tape, according to earlier reports by Sgt. R.A. Maddy of the Princeton detachment.
No other customers were present when the robbery took place. The incident, and images of the two suspects, were recorded on a store surveillance camera.
Investigators are still seeking Lockhart’s brother, Timmy Lockhart, File said. Anyone with information is urged to call the Princeton detachment at 304-425-2101.
