AFTERNOON UPDATE: One person transported after crash

BRUSHFORK — One person was transported to a local hospital today after two vehicles collided at the intersection of U.S. Route 52 and Airport Road.

The crash was reported at 3:25 p.m. after a pick-up truck and a van crashed at the traffic light. One person was transported by the Bluefield, W.Va. Rescue Squad, but there did not appear to be any life-threatening injuries, said fire fighter Kenneth Williams of the Bluewell Volunteer Fire Department. He said it was not the first crash he has seen at that intersection.

“This is probably one of the busiest intersections in the county,” he said.
