A Cleveland, Ohio, man wanted for homicide was arrested Thursday afternoon by troopers with the West Virginia State Police.
Joshua Lipford, 23, of Cuyahogo, Ohio, was arrested on Union Street at 12:48 p.m. by Trooper J.A. Cook and Cpl. C.I. Fields with the State Police Princeton Detachment.
U.S. Marshals were searching McDowell County Wednesday for Lipford.
Lipford is wanted by the Cleveland Police Department for aggravated murder, Detective Tom Armelli of the homicide unit at the Cleveland Police Department said.
Lipford was brought before Magistrate Susan Honaker for an initial appearance Thursday afternoon. He was then taken before Mercer County Circuit Court Judge Omar Aboulhosn, where he waived extradition. Ohio authorities have two weeks to complete the extradition.
