Deputies locate $18,000 worth of marijuana plants in Buchanan County

GRUNDY, Va. — Deputies with the Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office working in conjunction with the  29th Judicial Drug Task Force have located about $18,000 worth of marijuana plants.

Sheriff Ray Foster said the marijuana plants were discovered Monday after the deputies and task force officers investigated an anonymous tip. Foster said eight marijuana plants were found in the Looney's Creek section of Buchanan County. 

Foster said the plants have an approximate street value of0 $18,000. The investigation is ongoing. Foster said charges are pending in the case.
