Holiday of Lights prepares to fill city park with holiday cheer

BLUEFIELD — The Holiday of Lights is just about ready to illuminate Lotito Park.

Visitors can drive through Bluefield City Park beginning Thanksgiving night to experience more than 40 acres of holiday lights.

“We are just about ready to go,” City Manager Jim Ferguson said.

City employees are making last minute adjustments, minor changes, and replacing light bulbs to get things ready, Ferguson said.

“We will be ready to open on Thanksgiving night at 6 p.m.,” Ferguson said.

The Holiday of Lights at city park will run from Thanksgiving night until New Year's Eve. There is no charge for admission, but donations will be accepted.

The light display hours are Sunday through Thursday 6 to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 6 to 10 p.m.
