Two McDowell County men were arrested Tuesday after a traffic stop revealed crack cocaine and a large sum of money.
The incident occurred approximately 11:30 a.m. when Deputy R.R. Freeman of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Department conducted a traffic stop in the Wilcoe area, said Sheriff Martin B. West.
A large quantity of what is believed to be crack cocaine packaged for delivery and large amount of money was found, West said.
Douglas Emanuel Vineyard of Wilcoe, no age available, was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, felony conspiracy, and defective equipment. A second man, Dwight Julius Mask, no age available, of War was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and felony conspiracy, West said.
Both men were being held in the McDowell County Holding Unit pending arraignment before a magistrate.
