Two volunteer fire departments were dispatched when sparks off a chainsaw being used to demolish an old mobile home ignited the structure Thursday afternoon.
The Bluestone Valley and East River volunteer fire departments were dispatched 2:50 p.m. Thursday to Lancelot Lane off Beckley Road in Mercer County. The structure’s roof had collapsed, said Fire Chief Tim Farley of the Bluestone Valley Fire Department. No injuries were reported, and firefighters remained on the scene to ensure the fire did not spread to brush or a nearby home.
Sparks off a chainsaw set some paper in the structure on fire, Farley said.
