CEDAR BLUFF, Va. —  Better response times and enhanced fire safety were celebrated today when the town of Cedar Bluff cut the ribbon for its new fire station.

The new station at 1028 Cedar Bluff Drive houses a volunteer fire department with approximately 20 members. The station serves a two-and-a-half mile area and is ready to provide mutual assistance, said Chief Barry Patton.

For more details about how the new fire department will serve Tazewell County, see Friday’s edition of the Daily Telegraph.
