Two McDowell County residents were transported to Bluefield Regional Medical Center today after the vehicle they were in flipped on U.S. Route 52.
Patricia Havens and Clarence Music, both of Eckman, were transported by the Bluefield Rescue Squad around 2 p.m., according to Deputy Joe Parks with the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department.
Parks said Havens was driving south on U.S. Route 52 toward Bluewell when her vehicle went off the road and into a ditch on Pinnacle Mountain. Parks said when Havens attempted to drive her vehicle out of the ditch, the vehicle flipped into a nearby yard.
Music was entrapped in the vehicle and had to be extricated by crews with the Bramwell Volunteer Fire Department and Bluefield Rescue Squad.
