AFTERNOON UPDATE: One injured in Montcalm shooting

Bluefield Daily Telegraph

MONTCALM — A Mercer County man remains incarcerated this afternoon in connection with a late night shooting in Montcalm.

Damien Lusk, 30, of Montcalm, is charged with one count of malicious wounding in connection with a shooting Wednesday night near the old Prudich Medical Center in Montcalm, according to a report by Senior Trooper J.A. Cook, of the West Virginia State Police Princeton Detachment.

Cook said Jerome Allen, 36, of Montcalm, was shot once in his arm, and once in the abdomen, following an argument between the two men. Allen remains hospitalized in stable condition at Bluefield Regional Medical Center.
