AFTERNOON UPDATE: Police release victim's name in ATV death

— TAZEWELL, Va. — An investigation into the all-terrain vehicle accident that claimed the life of a Richlands, Va., juvenile was being continued Tuesday by the Tazewell County Sheriff’s Office.
Jeremy Heath Smith, 17, of Richlands, Va., was a passenger on an ATV that collided with an oncoming car on Red Root Ridge Hill. He was later pronounced deceased at Holston Valley Medical Center. The ATV’s driver, Justin Bandy, 20, of Red Root Road was listed in good condition Tuesday at the same medical facility.
