PRINCETON — Rain washed out Sunday’s baseball game between the Princeton Rays and Elizabethton Twins, which had been scheduled for a 4 p.m. start at Hunnicutt Field. It was the first rainout of the season for Princeton.
Monday’s schedule now calls for the teams to play two seven-inning games, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
The Rays came into Sunday as co-leaders of the Appalachian League East Division with a 7-5 record. The Twins (11-1) lead the league’s West Division and have won six games in a row.
Monday’s promotional item for the first 500 fans at Hunnicutt Field is scheduled to be a free P-Rays’ toiletries travel folder.
