BLUEFIELD — The travel industry makes a tremendous impact on the regional economy, and the staff of the Mercer County Convention & Visitors Bureau brought travel industry partners together with the people who operate local attractions for a networking luncheon Wednesday at David’s at the Club.
“The luncheon today was a networking opportunity, but also a time to say thank you to our travel industry partners,” Beverly Wellman, executive director of the Mercer County CVB said. “We also encouraged our travel industry partners to get to know the people who run some of our local attractions.”
Wellman said the CVB encouraged people working in the travel and tourism industries to thank the travelers who use local motels and visit local attractions during National Travel & Tourism Week, May 9-16.
