GRUNDY, Va.- Flames and smoke were visible Thursday morning when firefighters arrived at a local restaurant.
The Grundy Fire Department was dispatched at 2:32 a.m. when fire was reported at the KFC in the Royal City section of Grundy, said Chief Phillip Vandyke.
“When we arrived on scene, we had flames showing out the back of the building,” Vandyke said.
No employees were at the store when the fire occurred. The restaurant was a total loss, Vandyke said.
