Mailbox repair much appreciated

— This is a thank you letter to the kind, unknown person who repaired my mailbox. Our  community group of mailboxes, among others, were damaged a few years ago, which resulted in my mailbox looking very crushed.

Eventually the door to the mailbox came loose and was hanging by a thread on one side. I really was considering buying a new one, when one morning, to my surprise, I discovered that someone had repaired it; an unknown soul whom I have yet to find out. I don’t know whether that person was feeling sorry for me, or whether the person couldn’t stand to look at that awful mailbox every day.

To whomever you are, I’m truly grateful, and I thank you!
