GOP shares blame in VA scandal

— — Our current issue with inadequate and timely medical services through the U.S. Veterans Administration is indeed troubling. The Bush wars have left us with a situation where he who has born the battle has not received the gratitude of a grateful nation. Instead he has a 90 day wait to get an appointment with a doctor.

Who or what is to blame?

I am reminded that appropriation bills originate in the House of Representatives. Could it be that sufficient money has not been made available to provide needed services?

Could it be that the VA has not used appropriated revenue efficiently and effectively? Could it be that those responsible for government oversight have simply not done their job.

We know which political party controls the House of Representatives that has oversight responsibility and appropriations responsibility.

Surely our elected representatives would not deliberately and for political purposes, even though they do seem to enjoy shutting government down, short change those who risk life and limb for their country.
