Why low bond for crimes against kids?

— — Since there wasn’t any information on why the recent bond for the child sexual abuser was so low, I would like to know why this happened?  In your article (Thursday, Oct. 24), it was stated that he was indicted on “57 counts of sexual assault and sexual abuse against children” ... possession of child pornography ... committed other sexual acts with the 3-year-old” and “... allegedly sexually abused the 14 year old ...”

I would ask that how many more despicable acts against kids would this person have to do to warrant a higher bond, say like $500,000?

Hopefully other readers will be asking similar questions and I sincerely hope that our local media will do the same and report their answers to their readers and viewers.
