Swan Lake move over because Casey was up to bat during Highlands Ballet Company’s performance, Sunday, March 16, at Southwest Virginia Community College.
Alice in Wonderland was looking through the looking glass but the audience saw nothing but pure perfection on the stage. Over 50 students from Deanna Cole-Roberts and Deirdre Cole’s dance studio performed and the energy and skill they shared humbled your heart.
I would like to thank our sponsors Food City and Roy and Dorothy Wright and our contributors First Sentinel Bank, Zaven and Talin Jabourian and Mary W. Lawson for given us the opportunity to bring such an exciting performance to Richlands. CART has a strong support base and it’s because of supporters like these that give us this ability to showcase regional talent.
Another strong aspect to CART is our technical teams. This performance they were: Don Elmes, Brett VanDyke, Davey Turner, Doug Branton, Ellen Elmes, Bryan Lockhart, Sylvia Boyd, Shawn Durham, Elizabeth Harrison, France and Pete Vance, Martha Hurst, Joe Adair, Bailey Hurst, Bob Nassif, Food City’s floral department, all the Mom’s and Dad’s, Southwest Virginia Community College Audio and Visual Department, campus police, administration and community center staff.
CART is winding down its 33rd season and we appreciate your continued support and attendance. Look out the 2014-2015 season is rounding the corner and measuring up to be fantastic!
