Bluefield Daily Telegraph
I have written man letters to the editor of the Daily Telegraph and my thanks go out to the publishers who have printed my letters. Now my question, why can’t the state pick up the dead animals laying on the highway?
I only see them spread lime on the dead animals to hold down the smell, which, in turn, the animal will finally swell up and bust and that is not healthy.
I live on a back road in Mercer County and it seems to me like all they use it for is to throw out trash from McDonalds, Hardee’s and Wendy’s. Where are our litter control personal?
Maybe one thing that is wrong is our garbage rates are too high and so is the use of the landfill. So come on people, put your trash in the car until you get home then dispose of it.
Make our state cleaner so we can set a good example and bring big business in with good-paying jobs.
Last, but not least, please do something about recreation in this area. We need things to do besides ride all-terrain vehicles. I know our development authority can do something so the older generation will have something to do. Some of us are getting t- old to spend all day riding a four-wheeler.
