I think it was a great thing to see Delegate John Shott attend the June public hearing and speak to the people that were there about the ridiculous rate increase the West Virginia American Water company is asking for.
How can the utility companies think they can do that and still expect people to pay their bills? This big increase they are asking for is outrageous.
Where were our other so-called politicians when the meeting was held? If they were there, why did they not speak up? Could it be that they are on the same side of the utility companies instead of being on the side of the people who gave them their position?
