Volunteers still needed for litter sweep

— — I am writing a follow up to the article about upcoming cleanups in our area. Volunteers are still needed for the Mountain Pride Litter Sweep in Mercer and Summers counties.

Residents are encouraged to get together with their friends, family, neighbors and co-workers to clean up needed roadways and spots on April 27. All supplies including litter grabbers, safety vests, trash bags, gloves and signs will be provided to each group. West Virginia DEP contractors will pick up all bags, tires and other items collected by volunteers.

This is a great opportunity to clean up needed areas in both counties! For more information or to volunteer, please contact Sarah Elswick at 304-466-7167 or e-mail mountain.pride.sweep@gmail.com.
