DOH should address road concerns

— Please tell me why our highway department doesn’t care about our highway system. When the last storm hit we had many trees blocking the roadway and mud from driveways running across the roads, but yet I saw about six highway crewmen riding up and down the highway and doing nothing.

We have ditch lines that are stopped up, but to no avail on getting anything done about it. I am sick and tired of the dangerous curves, the brush hanging over the edges of the road, ditches stopped up, narrow road conditions and rough roads.

But just keep in mind the highway crews are good at riding around in pickup trucks and getting good pay.

Well enough complaining. It’s time to do with our highway officials what they did in the Bluefield elections — start with a clean slate. Let’s start making our state a better place to visit. So come on people. Let’s demand a better area or heads will roll until we get something better.
