Thoughts on trash, roads, rockslides

— — Special kudos to Lusk Disposal on their attempt to clean up their part of the county near the Princeton city limits!

A few months ago someone wrote about the need for warning lights on our major highways that prepare motorists to stop when flashing.

An editorial was written. What happened? Nada! Nothing.

A lot of rubber could be saved and who knows, maybe a life!

And consider this:

A rockslide on Interstate 77, a two-week closure!

A slide on state Route 3, a two-month closure!

A rock fall on Interstate 79 this week!

A slide on state Route 39 recently!

A rockslide on Route 1 near Iaeger!

A mudslide in Welch!

A rock fall on Route 52 on March 1!

Could this possibly be a portent of a bigger event in the future on Route 52?

Just consider the of folk who would be affected by such an event.

On the appointment of a officer to combat unlawful dumping, I hope he will also be looking at commercial establishments who think because they own it they can trash it.
