Reader appreciates Hypes’ columns

— — I enjoy reading Larry Hypes’ column every Saturday. He does such a great job telling about his growing up and the trips he made to Bluefield and all the stores he visited. I remember all the places.

This past Saturday, June 15, was one of the best he has written. It was all about Father’s Day.

Two lines really stood out to me. One was, “Dad never told me anything except the truth and always tried to help me in anyway he could.” If every person could be like this today. The other line was, “I still think Daddy is the finest man I have ever known.”

I hope everyone feels this way about their dad. Thank you Mr. Hypes. Looking forward to next Saturday.
