Time for changes in West Virginia

Bluefield Daily Telegraph

— I  have complained about the sharp curves on the Rock River Road with no avail. I’m not the only one who makes remarks about the turns. As citizens we have complained about the water that runs across the roadway on Route 71. We even called the county commission about the problems, but to no avail.

We have begged for guardrails but never get a response. No money — I guess is West Virginia’s number one answer. We have got one petition after another for public water and public sewer but without even a hard guess we get ignored. They always have the same excuse — a five letter word. (No money). My number one question is where do our tax dollars go. I know our public politicians. Guess it is time to go to the top of the leader board and take it to Charleston. There is no reason why West Virginia has to be left out on everything until its raise time. Then they receive the benefits. We get money for raises.

In closing this letter please start down the Rock River Road and just see how good the state road fixed that section of road. Shame on the state road. They could do better. Eventually there will be kids who get hurt on this road and when that happens we will see the lawsuits pile up.
