City shooting blown out of proportion

I think that the shooting incident at the East River Playground has been blown way out of proportion. If I am correct I think it happened around 1 a.m.

Had this shooting happened anywhere else, the city park parking lot, the parking lot of one of the churches or an uptown parking lot it would have been chalked up to just another shooting. Even if it happened on August Street in the street near the playground, not much would have been thought about it.

Now, if it had happened at 1 p.m. that should have raised eyebrows. When I was young we had a ball on that playground and I don’t know if the wading pool is still in use, but back then the little ones loved it and there was never any trouble.

Of course back then young people had a lot more common sense than some of the young people today.
