Cabinet lacks business background

— — I have been wondering why so much of our economy is so messed up so I did some research on the percentage of each president’s cabinet who had worked in the private business sector prior to their appointment to the cabinet. You know what the private business sector is? a real life business, not a government job.

Here are the percentages: T. Roosevelt, 38 percent; Taft, 40 percent; Wilson, 52 percent; Harding, 49 percent; Coolidge, 48 percent; Hoover, 42 percent; F. Roosevelt, 50 percent; Truman, 50 percent; Eisenhower, 57 percent; Kennedy, 30 percent; Johnson, 47 percent; Nixon, 53 percent; Ford, 42 percent; Carter, 32 percent; Reagan, 56 percent; G.H. Bush, 51 percent; Clinton, 39 percent; G.W. Bush, 55 percent; and last is Obama, 8 percent.

This truly helps explain the incompetence of this administration: only 8 percent of them have ever worked in private business. That’s right! Only 8 percent, the least by far of the last 19 presidents. Yet these people are trying to tell our big corporations how to run their business?

How can the president of a major nation and society, the one with the most successful economic system in world history, stand and talk about business when he has never worked for one? Or about jobs when he has never really had one? And when it’s the same for 92 percent of his senior staff and closest advisers? They have spent most of their time in academia, government and/or non-profit jobs or as “community organizers.”

They should have been in a employment line.

Now, perhaps, your readers can understand why our deficit is sky high, there are no real jobs with a future, jobs available pay little to nothing, our military has been cut to the lowest it has been in years, more people are on food stamps, the nations overseas are no longer making positive statements about our country and now we are in a health care fiasco that sounds like a movie with the Keystone Cops.

My question is, will we ever get back to our original, wonderful and great United States as we once were?
